1. JR-500

It is a Japanese train which began to be manufactured in 1995.

It is made up of eight carriages and has space to transport a total of 600 passengers. There is also another model with a total of 16 cars and is designed to reach a speed of 198 miles per hour.

Due to its high manufacturing cost only fewer than 10 units have been manufactured and few are currently in service on Japan’s rail lines.

2. TGV Duplex

It is a double-decker train that was manufactured in France from 1995.

It measures 656 feet and has 10 wagons with space for passengers. It circulates at a speed of 198 miles per hour and in total more than 60 units have been manufactured.

Currently it runs on railway lines in different countries traveling from Paris to Luxembourg and Munich.

It is a new generation Italian train that was manufactured in 2012.

It has a total of eight carriages with space to transport 450 passengers. It measures 656 feet weighs 500 tons and is designed to reach a top speed of 248 miles per hour.

In total more than 50 units have been manufactured that currently travel on various railway lines in Italy.

It is a distributed traction train that was manufactured in South Korea in 2011.

It aims to run on the Tokyo railway lines at a speed of over 310 miles per hour. It uses a magnetic system that allows it to levitate 4 inches high and avoid friction.

In 2015 this train reached a speed of 374 miles per hour on the yamanashi test track and currently holds the world record for the fastest train in the world.
